Confessions of a DC Geek #21

Here is the link to my Confessions of a DC Geek interview. Thank you once again to DC WORLD and of course to John Hammond for the opportunity to talk about my love of all things DC Comics as well as answer questions with my own opinions on topics that were relevant to these times, where everyone shares their opinions across the world, whether they are targeted at specific people, brands, products etc. or whether they are hurtful or helpful comments, they can be shared no matter what across all social media.

Comic book movies are a big part of social media controversy because whenever anyone gets cast in a role for a comic book movie, there is instant controversial conversations, debates or even  arguments over whether the casting is "right" or not. People no longer wait until the trailer or the film has emerged, they just jump to share their opinions on the cast member as a person, or based on previous roles. This is something that I feel strongly about and will be posting a page for in the near future.

My point to this is that John Hammond helps geeks like me get their opinions across in a civilised manner, which is what the world of social media and entertainment needs more of. Asking the right questions gets the right answers. It's not as simple as "they will suck because I hated that one film they were in" because if you judge someone by their past, what hope is there for a future?

But I digress. This post is about the wonderful opportunity I recieved when I was contacted to take part in this brilliant questionnaire that not only allowed me to express my own love for the fandom by sharing my personal collection and backstory to how I got into the world of comics, but it also allowed me to share my thoughts on the important questions such as the continuing Marvel vs DC debate which erupts on social media constantly throughout the years every time a movie, tv show or animation is released.

So without further ado here is the link to my confessions article, and I hope that if you have twitter, then go follow John Hammond (@JH_ComicBookMan) and DC World (@_DCWorld) for their brilliant content!
